- Description
- We are looking for a LABORATORY COMPLIANCE TECHNICIAN on behalf of a fast-growing food manufacturing company based in Fengate, Peterborough.
Our client are a specialist manufacturer and supplier of high-quality dairy-based ingredients supplying some of the world’s most popular brands of ambient, chilled, frozen foods and food services.
Salary: £23100
Hours of work
Hours of work will be based on a 40-hour week on a shift rota working any 5 out of any 7 days with the flexibility to work reasonable overtime as required.
22:00-06:00, some flexibility is required to cover holiday and sickness.
Candidate must be over 18 due to night working regulations.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE
Abide by all company Health, safety & Environmental procedures.
Using internal reporting system for any site observations that require action.
Sampling and testing internal and external products from intake to finished product.
Completing site testing in according to the testing schedule and test methods.
Monitoring of equipment and chemicals by established test methods
Dealing with sample request from external /internal source.
Ensuring all results are recorded accurately on the correct sheets to the required timescales
Ensuring customers receive certificate of analysis daily
Calibrating and recording equipment to the planned schedule
Report any equipment that is not working to specification to the supervisor or manager or engineers.
Root cause analysis
Taking part in New Product Development trials, recording, and analysing data, presenting results to senior staff, providing technical support.
Accurately taking stock and usage of consumables and recording batch and date code accurately, ensuring correct stock rotation
Conduct service supplier, internal site audits and Q/C audits, reporting results to management or service provide in a timely and professional manner.
To conduct, run, and enter data for LGC proficiency testing, record all results and report (QMS and Z-scoring). Including daily /monthly trending.
Take active part in projects as required to improve site practices.
